Brass is an alloy of copper and zinc; Industrial purpose brass contains no more than 45% of zin, so as to insure its toughness and performance. The proportions of zinc and copper can be varied to create a range of brasses with varying properties. Aluminum makes brass stronger and more corrosion resistant. Brass has good ductility, cupping value and suits electroplate.
